  • It's Time to Bury the Dead

I read through many of my past entries on this xanga.  And it just seems like most of the posts belong to somebody else.  How utterly blind I was, and foolish.  Insecure, lonely.  Immature.

But as much then, so now.  I have (almost) always regarded myself as being the most clairvoyant at the present time.  No matter that I should know better, at each of those times.

Nonetheless, I feel I have outgrown this site.  Really.  The definition of this blog was, from the beginning, "Ezra and his angst about school and girls."  Although I still think about them, they carry not the same weight in my mind as they once did.  They are but two among the many actors on the stage of life I view from my figurative balcony.  I no longer scurry with them in their pantomimes; I have retired.

This blog started with a boy named Ezra who loved a girl named Beatrice.  [Open outer parentheses].  He loved her for a long time.  But then he finally gave up, deciding instead to turn his eyes to admire the beauty and character of other girls.  Eventually, he came to love a girl named Wendy.  [Open inner parentheses].  But then he stopped loving her, revealing to himself his own hypocrisy.  [Close inner parentheses].  He looked upon and loved Beatrice again, but then she killed him.  [Close outer parentheses].

And that was where it was supposed to stop, because dead people can't post on xanga.  That was the short version of this entire blog, pre-2007.

    Long overdue: http://www.xanga.com/Unfettered_Mind

There, I will start off with posting one poem per week that I have written for my poetry class this semester, none of which have been seen here.  Go there, if you have read, have been reading, or would like to read my posts.  With few exceptions, I've been posting here as if I were the original owner, masquerading as somebody I'm not.

It's time to bury the dead.  Cheers to a future of making a more true representation of myself.

  • How utterly inconvenient my memory is.  It's not that I've never forgotten a password, but not for something so clutch as my NetID, CITES, or some crap like that.
